The Imperia FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) is where we shall field and post any questions people submit for Imperia. On this page we will display questions, as well as who asked them, and the answers for them. Please submit your question, as well as read those of answered questions, and hopefully what you find here will help you out.

Six Answered Questions

Q: How is a character stealing from another character handled to determine weather or not the character steals successfully and what they steal handled? ~ Josh2
A: This is one of those instances where we use dice (unless both players request to freeform it out). Opposing rolls of 1d100 are done. If the pickpocket gets higher, and by a higher margin, then steal and clean get away. Also the one being robbed declares to an Op, ahead of time, what could be stolen. Prevents people from saying that they only had 6 copper on them when they lose the roll.

Q: Seeing as how this universe Earth actually existed, was there other religions present on this Earth? I.E. Catholicism, Mormon, Buddhism, etc.. ~ Josh2
A: The Greek religion flourished, however all Christian religions that arose due to the fall of the Roman Empire never occurred. But religions that were not dependent upon this event, like the Celts and Buddhist, were alive and well.

Q: Where would be the best place for someone who is new to Imperia and still doesn't have a fundamental grasp on the world, it\'s history and workings, to start off in? ~ Josh2
A: An excellent question. We recommend Arennonmist Inn, cause that's a good channel to slowly learn. ICly, it's a small little village, so a person can live there and be very oblivious about allot of stuff. Also there is less demand to keep up with information as found in TBI or DT or Dauntless.

Q: Where do newbies go to get started? ~ Mr. Dangerous
A: Well we recommend visiting the Beginner's Section located in the Imperia Academy. If you have a very firm grasp on role play and have role played before on IRC, we suggest you use the Java Link or mIRC (Or any IRC Client) to visit #Imperia.

Q: How do you get money? ~ Mr. Dangerous
A: Well all characters start with a degree of wealth, dependent upon their status and place in society. More is obtained via role play or assumed jobs. If your character was an unskilled laborer, you would not need to RP it out. We just assume when your not here, the character is off working and earning his/her 8 silver every IC/In Character Day. Cause we have three IC Days for every 1 OOC (Out of Character Day) that means 24 silver earned a day. Some more can be gained via either RPed or Plotted out adventures.

Q: I have an approved character and I am a user at Imperia. But the chat won't log me in. and I'm trying to find a way to use it without downloading anything. Is there a way to do this? ~ R. L.
A: Sadly, the only way to reach the Official Imperia channels on IRC is either to use the Java Client or download mIRC (Which is Free, Quick and Easy) or any other IRC Client. Your only choices besides this is to do all of your Role Play on the Forums.
